Request a Brightspace account
Brightspace accounts require a unique identifier called the SUNY Global ID (SGID)
SUNY creates a SGID as part of the central records for all persons at a SUNY campus, including employees, students and volunteers.
Students receive a SGID as part of the admissions process.
New faculty/staff are assigned a SGID as part of the onboarding to the human resources/payroll system. A Brightspace account and access cannot be processed until that SGID has been created.
