Pharos Campus Printing

Purchase a Pharos print card in the Medical Library. Use it to pay for printing in the Medical Library or in public computer labs.

When you print something from a Downstate public computer in the Medical Library, a dialog box will appear; use it to name your print job. It will then be placed in a print "queue" on the campus network. You can print it from any print station in the Medical Library for the next 4 hours.

Mobile Printing

The Medical Research Library of Brooklyn now has mobile printing for your Apple or Android device!

Mobile printing via Apple Devices

  1. Connect your device to the DMC-Secure wireless network.
  2. Open your browser and go to https://mobileprint.downstate.edu
  3. Login with your Downstate NetID.
  4. Upload the files to be printed.
  5. Select the location you wish to print to — e.g., Residence Halls, ALRC, Library Commons — and send to print.
  6. Use a Pharos print card to release your job at the print station.

Mobile printing via Android Devices

  1. Connect your device to the DMC-Secure wireless network.
  2. Download the Pharos Print app from the Google Play Store.
  3. After installation, run the Pharos Print app.
  4. Enter the Print Server Address and Port Number
    • Print Server: mobileprint.downstate.edu
    • Port: 443
  5. Press Connect
  6. Login with your Downstate NetID.
  7. Upload the files to be printed
  8. Select the location you wish to print to — e.g., Residence Halls, Computer Lab, ALRC, Library Commons — and send to print.
  9. Use a Pharos print card to release your job at the print station.
