Downstate has licensed the TurnItIn service. Student papers are checked against:

1. TurnItIn's own paper repository
2. Current and archived web site content
3. Periodicals, journals and publications

It is integrated into the Assignment dropbox feature inside our Brightspace LMS. You can get a Feedback Studio Originality Report on student papers submitted to Assignments inside your Brightspace course. 

The report includes a Match Overview score as well as highlighting any text that matches against TurnItIn's database of prior submissions, publications and items identified from websites.

TurnItIn now also includes an AI originality check score (box in blue at bottom left in the illustration above).
