Managing Quizzes: Key Features

Here’s some key features you’ll see when you first click on Quizzes:

1. Manage Quizzes: There are four tabs on the Quizzes page; the Manage Quizzes page is the default. Displays all the existing tests in the course.

2. Lockdown Browser: Once you’ve built your test and configured main settings, click on this tab to set your test to require the secure browser.

3. New Quiz: Click on the New Quiz button to build one from scratch, or click on any of the listed quizzes to edit an existing one.

4. Availability: Once a test’s Availability has been set, you’ll see the date/time listed under the test. To set the availability, click on an existing quiz to reach the Edit Quiz page then choose the Restrictions tab. 

5. Grade: Tests do not automatically create a corresponding column in the Grade Center.  If they have been linked to a Grade Center column, a “keyhole” icon is displayed. To link to a Grade Center column, click on an existing quiz to reach the Edit Quiz page then choose the Assessment tab.

6. Hidden: A “slash over an eye” icon here indicates that the Hidden setting in the Edit Quiz > Restrictions tab has been selected. IMPORTANT! Users won’t be able to view the test until you take this off!

Need to import a test from a prior version of the course? Courses from three prior semesters that were given in Bb Learn were copied to Archives in Brightspace. Use the Import/Copy/Export tool in Course Admin to locate, select and import tests or other content from these Archives or other courses in Brightspace.
