Inserting Panopto Recordings Into Your Brightspace Course Content

Linking to Sessions in Panopto

Linking a Panopto session creates a text-based clickable URL within a page of HTML content. 

• In the Panopto web site, browse to the session to which you want to link. 
• Mouse over the session and select the Sharing icon .
• Under the Who can access this video section in the dialog box that opens, click the Copy Link button. This will copy the URL into the clipboard of your operating system.

• Login to your Brightspace account and navigate to the HTML page in which you wish to post your link in your Brightspace course and click the Edit HTML File (Web Page) button (you may need to scroll down).
• Select the text for your link and click the Add/Edit Link button in the pop-up toolbar that appears . 

• Into the Link field of the dialog box that appears, cut-and-paste the URL to your Panopto session (Windows: Ctrl+V; Mac: Cmd-V).

• Click the Create button. 
• Click the blue Save and Close button to save your HTML page in Brightspace.

Embedding Panopto Sessions Into Your Course Content

Embedding sessions into your Brightspace module creates a self-contained content item within your course content which can be repositioned via drag-and-drop.

• Navigate into the module into which you want to embed your session.
• Click the Upload/Create button and select the Create a File option.

• Enter a title for your file.

• In the HTML editor window that appears, click the Insert Stuff button.

• In the dialog box that appears, select the Panopto Video - BRK option (you may have to scroll down).

• Select the video you wish to embed and click the Insert button. In the preview window that appears, select Insert again.

• Click the Save and Close button.
