How to Register for Classes in Student Banner Self-Service

 

Sign in

Use your Downstate email address and password: https://experience.elluciancloud.com/sdhsu/

After signing in, you will arrive at the Ellucian Experience Dashboard.

If this is your first time using the dashboard, take a moment to review the information in the About This Dashboard card.


Open the registration system

Click Open Registration Dashboard, then select Register for Classes.

Select your registration term. Use the search box to type part of the term (such as the year) to quickly filter the list.

Select the appropriate term and continue.

Select a term

Check for registration holds. If you have a hold that prevents registration, you will see a notification. You must resolve the hold with the Registrar’s Office or Bursar’s Office before you can continue.

Accept the financial responsibility agreement.

Click View Action Item(s).

Review the Accept Charges statement.

Register for your courses

Select Register for Classes, then click Continue.

(Optional) If you would like to review tuition payment deadlines, click Payment Due Dates before continuing.

Click Continue to begin registering for classes.

Select a Term

 

Locate the section(s) you wish to take.

Register for Classes panel

Click Add next to each section to add it to your schedule.

Review your schedule to confirm your selections.

Sign out when you are finished. Click the user icon in the upper-right corner of the page. Select Log Out.
